Hey guys! So we’re doing a little FACEBOOK CONTEST to celebrate the progress the band has made in the past few months. Every time we hit triple numbers of Facebook likes (for example 555, 666, 777… all the way to 999).
We will be giving away a small unique Verdigrls care package including STICKERS, FLOWER CROWNS, handmade ILLUSTRATIONS, some VINTAGE trinkets, a band T-SHIRT (when we get them in) etc (all prizes and care package combinations depends on what we have available at the time and the cost of postage).
This is how YOU can win:
1) Like the Verdigrls Facebook page
2) Look out for an announcement that we’ve hit a tripple number of Facebook likes (first announcement will be when we hit 555 likes.
3) Comment on the status (say anything!)
4) A random number generator will pick the winning contestant. We will announce the name next day and the winner will have to Facebook message us so we can arrange postage.

New Demo!

After much thought we have decided to rename the band. When first starting we didn’t think much about our name. We threw it together as kind of a placeholder having no idea that people would be as responsive as they’ve been to our music. There has also been too much confusion with us and another band due to the similarity of the name Velveteens as well.
So now we will now be called, Verdigrls. In the next week we will be transitioning all of our social networking sites to the new name.
Currently We are writing new songs and recording new music in studio so you’ll hear more from us soon.

Aww that’s so great! :’) we love girls and lena dunham, but I think our lives are even more pathetic than any character on that show. Thanks for the support! We’re going to start working with a pr company soon so hopefully that will become a reality.

Today we received our 300th Facebook like. 300 people went out of their way to show their friends that they like our music. I only know 27 of those 300. It feels amazing that there are people out there connecting with our music.

This year has been quite interesting for us. We left our old band, formed a new one, and were met with much support. Thank you everyone for being on this journey with us, even just by liking our Facebook page, following us on twtter and tumblr, downloading our tracks or just being there for us. Get excited because we have some amazing things coming in 2013.
Now it’s time to say goodbye to the old year and greet the new.
Today, the snow fell hard, but we worked harder. We sat in our lair and banged out four songs and a kick ass cover. We will not reveal the nature of the cover, but it’s good and we like it. Most likely we will go through the songs we wrote and decide they will never see the light of day until we end up like Rilo Kiley and make an album of unreleased tracks. But for now we are satisfied. There are many great things that are going to happen in 2013, and I hope you’re ready for it because I’m not. I was getting ready for the rapture that never came.
